Mission Statement and Core Values
Mission Statement The Denver Campus for Jewish Education is a center of learning anchored by Herzl/RMHA, our K-12 community day school. Our mission is to ensure a Jewish future by challenging minds and nurturing souls with a focus on academic excellence and Jewish learning.
Campus Middot or Core Values Herzl/RMHA has a strong foundation of Jewish values, moral and ethical vision. While striving for excellence in both secular and Jewish education, we commit to building a vibrant legacy for future generations through our stewardship as students, teachers, parents, administrators and community members. This is achieved through the active implementation of Jewish values and Mitzvot. We represent a wide range of beliefs and modes of observance. Yet, we are united in a love and affirmation of The Divine, Torah and the people and land of Israel. As we are connected on one campus and in one community, we strive to build a common set of values. Our words need to be matched by actions and deeds to support and build an environment that promotes our Jewish beliefs and provides an environment that encourages integrity, individuality, personal growth and the development of intellect, moral character, Jewish identity, and a love of learning and Torah.
We commit to treat each other with respect, honor, sensitivity and dignity (B’Tzelem Elohim). We commit to being understanding and accepting of each other’s differences as one community; and, we commit to the eternity of the Jewish People and the Land of Israel. (Klal Yisrael/Kehillah/Ahavat Yisrael/Ahavat Eretz Yisrael). We commit to creating the best possible Jewish learning environment including the love of learning Torah and secular knowledge; which in turn leads to the fulfillment of Mitzvot and the Sanctification of The Divine’s Name (Ahavat Torah/Mitzvot/Kiddush HA-SHEM). We commit to being responsible for making our speech and actions exemplary for ourselves and each other, our families, Herzl/RMHA and the Jewish community as a whole (Derekh Eretz). We commit to fostering an environment where students, faculty, parents, and staff – all of whom are empowered to weigh their actions with compassion – are entitled to their respective levels of honor (Kavod/Rachamanut). We commit to being truthful with each other in all that we do (Emet). We commit to relaying positive information about our school and community, and to refrain from spreading gossip (Do Not Speak Lashon Harah). We commit to showing modesty in our dress, in our speech, and in our interactions with others (Tzeni’ut). We commit to perform righteous acts so we can build a foundation for Herzl/RMHA based on the fundamentals of Judaism (Tzedakah). We commit to taking the steps to ensure peace in our house and between members of our community (Shalom Bayit).
The Denver Campus Committment Herzl/RMHA at the Denver Campus serves students, regardless of race, color, national origin, gender or physical abilities, and without regard to the financial abilities of families in so far as the physical and financial resources of the school allow. |
